Dollar Dress
2020
muslin, cyanotype
This “Dollar Dress” project grew from a small assignment where we were instructed to make something with a dollar bill. The barbie doll dress was made and from here I wanted to make this small sculpture into a full sized wearable. The project has gained meaning and charge in the way I manipulated my cyanotype prints of the dollar bill graphics. This project brings forth a large conversation about consumerism, greed, body right and the selling of body.
